When driving on a track, crossing arms is normal and perfectly fine. If you go further than this, you’ve screwed up anyway. (Just to be clear, he clearly seems that he has no idea what he is doing in this screenshot, but crossing arms and never letting go of the wheel unless REALLY REALLY necessary, is proper and what to do when driving on a track.)

I think this show would be successful if they had done away with the Top Gear name, among other things.

Go into it as some car show it's really not that bad. But we have to compare it to what it was, and it sucks.

Meh, too early for me to condemn it yet. The second episode has already shown significant improvement over the first. If they keep improving it could indeed be a solid show after a year or so.

As much as I don’t like him, nothing on this picture is bad, apart from his body position... Hand position is normal at full lock, with the thumb pushing the steering... It does not mean he is letting go off the wheel. It’s something I do all the time also. His face, as ugly as it is lol, is more showing excitement than fear :)

Jason did a piece on this specifically a while back (had to search “tiff needell arm crossing jalopnik” on google and it worked :) ). He did a gif specifically about this.
